We base our dosages from our experience and qualifications in Herbalism for Animals, thus we are able to outline recommended dosages, however, we stress that we are not Doctors, we are not Vets, and we absolutely recommend speaking to a Doctor or Vet prior to the use of any supplement, especially if there are other medications taken or given, that may interact with our mushroom powders, and adhering to their given dosage information from your Docyor or Vet rather than those stated below.
For all of our Mushroom Powders, we advise starting with a very small amount, ideally added to food for the first 3 days, to ensure the mushrooms are compatible with your or your pets digestive system. Every animal is different and not all animals can eat everything that nature provides, any animal can react badly to any type of food or supplement and obviously our biggest concern is for the safety of you and your pets.
We would look to increase this small dose to a full dose based on weight, by building up the dose over the course of a week or two.
We will go through the Mushroom Powders one by one and outline our recommended dosages:
Reishi
We recommend starting with a dosage of 16th of a teaspsoon per 15kg of weight for the first 3 days.
We would then look to raise the dosage to 1/4 of a teaspooon for every 15kgs of bodyweight daily or as recommended by your Vet.
If there is a greater need, this dosage can be raised to as much as 2-3 times this amount.
Turkey Tail
We recommend starting with a dosage of 16th of a teaspoon per 15kg of weight for the first 3 days.

The highest dose for serious immune system failures in pets, such as tumors. Based on studies a 10 kg dog will require administration of about 1 gram (1/2 tsp) of our Turkey Tail powder per day.

Moderate dose for moderately serious pet health conditions like recurrent infections and immune-mediated disease. A 10 kg dog will require 0.5 grams (1/4 tsp) of our Turkey Tail powder per day.

Wellness and maintenance dose would be given given as part of your pet’s wellness protocol to help keep their systems stable. A 10 kg dog will require about 0.25 grams (1/8 tsp) of our Turkey Tail powder per day.
Lions Mane
We recommend starting with a dosage of 32th of a teaspoon per 15kg of weight for the first 3 days.
The highest dosing that we would consider appropriate for your pet would consist of a single gram of Lion’s Mane powder (1/2 tsp) for each 15kg of body weight of your pet, per day. Although if not looking to help with a serious medical issue, half of this amount should prove sufficient for maintenance or minor issues.
Cordyceps Sinesis
Please note this is a superior type of Cordyceps mushroom to most found on the market currently, and therefore care needs to be taken on building up the dosage.
We recommend starting with a dosage of 16th of a teaspoon per 15kg of weight for the first 3 days.
We would then look to raise the dosage for serious need to 1/4 of a teaspoon (0.5g) for every 15kgs of bodyweight daily, or as recommended by your Vet.
Maiktake
We recommend starting with a dosage of 16th of a teaspoon per 15kg of weight for the first 3 days.
We would then look to raise the dosage for serious need to 1/4 of a teaspoon (0.5g) for every 15kgs of bodyweight per day, or as recommended by your Vet.
Shittake
We recommend starting with a dosage of 8th of a teaspoon per 15kg of weight for the first 3 days.
We would then look to raise the dosage for serious need to 1/2 of a teaspoon (1g) for every 15kgs of bodyweight per day, or as recommended by your Vet.
The 5 Best Defenders +
We recommend starting with a dosage of 8th of a teaspoon per 15kg of weight for the first 3 days.
You could raise the dosage for further need to 1/4 of a teaspoon (0.5g) for every 15kgs of bodyweight daily, or as recommended by your Vet.
